GTA WOW is a vibrant not-for-profit organization that celebrates the role of women in strengthening families and communities while empowering themselves. Our mission is to unite the Greater Toronto Area through cultural events and meaningful initiatives, including support for local charities.
From our grand Diwali Dhamaka showcasing dazzling performances and cultural highlights to meaningful initiatives like donation drives for the Salvation Army Women’s Shelter, WOW is committed to making a difference. We proudly hosted Canada’s first Samu Yagna with over 50 yajmans, bringing spiritual traditions to life. Our events, including Holi celebrations, bonding trips, casino nights, and family picnics, create lasting memories and strengthen our community 🌟.

GTA WOW GARBA NIGHT 2025
Highlights from our annual Garba Night featuring traditional singer Jitendra Joshi + band. Over 500 atteendees came together for a night of devotion, fun and celebration for the night before Dusshera. Food and Jewllery vendors on site to provide refreshments/energy to all attendees. This event also had donation raffles taking place along with an aarti thali competition.

Nari in Saree Charity Walk for Cancer Awareness
Our “Nari in Saree” Walkathon at Chinguacousy Park was a powerful gathering to raise cancer awareness. From youth to seniors, WOW women united in a symbolic walk celebrating inner strength and resilience. Together, we raised and matched funds, donating $2000 to the Canadian Cancer Society. More than just a walk, it was a meaningful stand for a cause that affects so many. We ended the day with a joyful potluck celebration, true to the WOW spirit. Thank you to everyone who participated and supported—because of you, we walk stronger, with purpose and hope. 💪💜

USA Vraj + BAPS Akshardham Tour
GTA WOW recently led a soulful and unforgettable tour to Vraj and Akshardham, bringing together a diverse group of 50 + individuals who began as strangers and returned as family. Guided by the blessings of Shri Krishna and Shri Swaminarayan, this sacred journey created lasting bonds across generations. From seniors to young adults, the experience was one of harmony, respect, and unity. A special thank you to GujaratiFoods for the delicious breakfast, and to our sahyatris for their trust, support, and heartfelt feedback. This tour reflects our mission to create meaningful, inclusive experiences that uplift and connect our community.
